A city must be creative, innovative, friendly to its residents and open for newcomers in order to make certain its populace is happy. Urban art is a way by which artists who live in or have a passion for city life express themselves, infusing city culture, traditional artistic styles, modern graffiti techniques, pop culture, and more into their artwork.
In that way urban art combines street art and graffiti and is often used to summarize all visual art forms arising in urban areas, taking inspiration from urban architecture and thematizing urban life style. An example of creative street art are crosswalks. Crosswalks should be well marked, but they don’t have to be boring. This is why some street artists make them funny and beautiful at the same time. They are no longer the usual places where pedestrians can cross the street.
